3. Sponsorship Exposure

Full-site sponsorship currently consists of:

• Home Page “Featured Solutions” exposure - A rotating carousel presents a 497×382 screenshot and a promotional blurb about your solution. The carousel currently displays each solution for 7.5 seconds before moving to the next solution. The links for these solutions either 1.) click through to the page on PM-Sherpa.com for your solution, or 2.) clicks through to your website if the user clicks the following icon:
• Solutions Page “Featured Solutions” exposure - A random selection of three (3) 300×250 ads from the six (6) sponsored solutions are displayed “above the fold” for each page view at the top of the Solutions Page.
• “Featured Solutions” exposure on All Other Pages - A random selection of four (4) 300×250 ads from the six (6) sponsored solutions are displayed on the right-hand column on all other pages on the site.

4. Sponsorship Costs

As stated, our sponsorships are provided as follows:

• Sponsorships cover a one (1) month period, from the date request through the same day minus one in the next month. For example, if you request to sponsor on the 17th of October, your sponsorship will run until November 16th at 12 midnight EST.
• Sponsorship is US$150/month.
• Minimum sponsorship length is six (6) months.
• Sponsorship payments must be made via PayPal to sponsorship@pm-sherpa.com.

5. Sponsorship FAQ

Q: Why the sponsorship program vs. a CPM or CPC advertising program?

A: We are trying to best balance the interests of our advertisers and our own. Advertisers get frustrated when they are just one of tens of competitors and their exposure gets diluted so advertising on a small niche site becomes just not worth the trouble. So we decided to limit to only six (6) sponsoring advertisers. From past experience with proactive renewal by our sponsors we know that we provide our sponsors with a great return on investment.

Q: What does it cost to sponsor?

A: Our current sponsorship option is a six (6) month sponsorship at US$150 per month.

Q: Is there a Waiting List when All Six (6) Sponsor Slots are taken?

A: Yes you can sign up on the waiting listfor a non-refundable US$150 deposit that can be applied to first month sponsorship that sponsorship space is available.

Q: Do you provide access to Ad Statistics and allow me to manage ads?

A: Not currently. We are planning the latter and considering the former. One benefit of not providing the latter is we get to give you direct links to your site which provide you with SEO benefit from a site that is clearly viewed by Google as an authority hub on Project Management solutions.

Q: When does a sponsorship period begin and when does it end?

A: Sponsotships cover a one (1) month period, from the date request through the same day minus one in the next month. For example, if you request to sponsor on the 23rd of May, a sponsorship will run until June 22nd at 12 midnight EST.

Q: Okay, I’m ready. What materials do I need to provide you with?

A: If your solution is new to PM-Sherpa.com please be sure to first submit your solution. And even if your solution is not new it might made sense to review the submission requirements to ensure we do already have the most up-to-date information about your solution. Then besides payment, send the following to sponsorship@pm-sherpa.com:

1. 300×250 ad in .GIF, .JPG, .PNG or .SWF format (max 50kb, or we will optimize it for you.)
2. 125×125 ad in .GIF, .JPG or .PNG format (max 20kb, or we will optimize it for you.)
3. 980×740 screenshot of your website and/or of your solution (or we can do this if you like.)
4. Promotional Text that fits in 300×320px when formatted in HTML with font Georgia at 13pt with 1.5em line-height (384 characters in paragraph format.)
5. URL that your ads should link to (they can include sourcing codes.)
6. SEO text you want us to use when linking to your site.

Note on the Promotional Text: This should be different than the 384 character description found on your PM-Sherpa solution’s page. We suggest using bullet points and a call-to-action and it can be per-marked up in HTML if you like.

Q: Can I provide you with Flash ads?

A: Yes for the 300×250 ad but their interactivity must stay within their 300×250 pixel boundaries. No Flash is allowed for the 980×740 screenshot.
